Fans! (sometimes also called "Faans!" due to its URL) was a webcomic written by T. Campbell and largely drawn by Jason Waltrip. It followed the adventures of a science fiction fanclub that unexpectedly becomes humanity's first line of defense against a variety of extraterrestrial and supernatural threats.

The strip originally ran from 2000 to 2005, and was later revived for a second run from 2008 to 2012 with a number of new characters.

Though the Fans! universe is a separate reality from the prime Walkyverse, the main Fans! cast also exists in the Walkyverse, though under significantly less heroic circumstances.

Two characters from Fans!, Rik and Rumy, made a one-panel appearance at the 1998 Bloomington Comiconference.

Spoiler warning!
Plot and/or ending details follow.

It's Walky!

Several members of the actual Fans! cast were unexpectedly brought over to the Walkyverse by a dimensional anomaly during the "Seventh Power" arc. Two of their number were promptly snatched up by Head Alien and Monkey Master for interrogation. To rescue them, the rest of the group joined forces with Squadron 128 - a team-up that lasted right until Head Alien fell into an interdimensional sinkhole with his hostages and The Cheese in tow, giving SEMME a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take out their biggest antagonists at the cost of just two lives.

But before Squadron 128 could act, they were attacked by the Fans!, resulting in a short but brutal scuffle that only ended when the travelers were pulled back to their home reality by the mysterious Mist.

Fans! cast member Shanna was one of several webcomic cameos seen at Coffeeright Theft during Ethan and Drew's first date. It's unknown whether she was still employed by Bart O'Ryan at the time.
