Harriet Warner is Mike Warner's loving (if somewhat overbearing) mother in Shortpacked! and Dumbing of Age.

Mike's parents were first introduced during Mike and Amber's trip to New York. To Amber's surprise, they were nothing at all like their son, being friendly, warm-hearted, and extremely welcoming.
(Maybe too welcoming, since Harriet wouldn't stop trying to push freshly-baked cookies on Amber, going as far as shoving them into Amber's purse when she wasn't looking.)
The Warners later attended Mike and Amber's wedding. Harriet was also on hand to dispense parenting advice after the birth of Mike and Amber's daughter, Donna Mae Warner.

The Warners were among the many parents visiting the IU campus for Freshman Family Weekend. By all accounts, Harriet spent most of that time going around dispensing hugs to students, whether they wanted them or not.
