The Vulcan Vandal was a huge Star Trek fan who claimed to have insider connections at Paramount.

Howard had apparently read many of the Vandal's online posts leaking supposed insider Star Trek information, none of which he could produce any evidence for, obviously. The Vandal had a reputation for being a froud, but not to our Howard! He believes in the guy!
