John Walters is a minor character in It's Walky!, adoptive father to Sal Walters and birth father to Steve "Beef" Walkerton.
History[]
After unwittingly having his children switched, John Walters gained the unwelcome attention of the Head Alien. With the help of SEMME and the Man in Black, the Walters were able to give him the slip, staying one step ahead of the Aliens by moving from town to town. John even started going by his middle name, "Bob", in an effort to better lay low. However, this greatly aggravated relations with his adopted daughter, Sal, who resented the constant moving. When Head Alien finally caught up with the Walters and threatened their lives, Sal told him to go ahead and kill them - a request he was more than happy to indulge.
John's corpse was later placed in a Martian Resurrection Chamber by the Head Alien, along with his wife's. He planned to use the bodies as a bargaining chip to convince Sal to open the Martian Embassy - a plan foiled by the fact that "Sal" was actually her twin brother Walky wearing an improvised wig. In the resulting confrontation, Walky dropped the Resurrection Chambers containing Sal's adoptive parents onto Head Alien's head, killing him - and SEMME leader Anthony McHenry. Worse still, the shock of seeing her "parents" splattered on the floor of the Embassy drove Sal into a catatonic state.
The Walters later received a proper burial, and Sal would visit their graves after recovering from her brief period of destroy-the-world insanity.
